Amazon employees golfing during the 2026 Amazon Annual Golf Tournament benefiting FareStart On Friday, July 24, more than 260 golfers came together at The Golf Club at Newcastle for a day of friendly competition, connection and community impact. Thanks to the generosity of players, sponsors and supporters, this year’s Amazon Golf Tournament raised over $280,000 to help support FareStart’s work of empowering people to overcome barriers to employment, build stability and achieve economic mobility.

Set against sweeping views of the Seattle skyline and surrounding mountains, golfers enjoyed clear skies and warm weather as they navigated the course throughout the day. From first-time participants to longtime tournament supporters, the tournament was filled with high energy and some good fun. Following an afternoon on the course, guests gathered for an evening reception featuring dinner, awards and celebrations of the collective impact made possible through the tournament.

“This year’s tournament marks a special milestone — our 25th annual event in Amazon’s history. Things really took off when we teamed up with FareStart several years ago, and that partnership has only made this event better every year since. We’re so proud to put this on for hundreds of Amazonians and our wonderful sponsors, all in support of such a great cause. None of this happens without our generous sponsors and players, the incredible work of our committee members, volunteers, and the FareStart team — we can’t wait to see how much bigger this can become, and how much more we can elevate the experience.” – Jake Iwen, Amazon Golf Committee Member.

More Than a Day on the Golf Course

While the tournament brings together hundreds of golfers each year, its impact extends far beyond the fairways. Proceeds raised through the event helps support FareStart programs that provide job training, career pathways, meals and critical support services for people working to build brighter futures. The tournament represents the power of partnership and what can happen when a community comes together around a shared commitment to nourishing communities and providing economic mobility. Throughout the day, participants had opportunities to learn more about FareStart’s mission and the lives transformed through access to training, employment and support.

Powered by Volunteers

Events of this scale are only possible because of the incredible volunteers who help bring every detail to life. More than 50 volunteers donated their time and energy to support the tournament. From welcoming golfers at registration and assembling swag bags to coordinating logistics, assisting sponsors and helping with setup and breakdown, volunteers played an essential role in creating a smooth and memorable experience for everyone involved. Their dedication helped ensure that golfers, sponsors and guests could focus on what mattered most: supporting FareStart’s students and programs.

Celebrating a Longstanding Partnership

Amazon’s support of FareStart extends well beyond tournament day. Over the past six years, the Amazon Golf Tournament has raised more than $1.8m in support of FareStart’s mission. Amazon also partners with FareStart throughout the year by providing space for our café and Barista & Customer Service Program on Amazon’s South Lake Union campus, as well as hosting our Community Meals kitchen in Interbay, which recently celebrated the milestone of delivering its 20 millionth meal to community partners. Together, these investments create meaningful opportunities for individuals working toward employment, stability and long-term success.
