Guest Chef Night pairs premier local chefs with FareStart students to create a three-course meal served by volunteer community members. All revenue and donations from Guest Chef Night support FareStart’s job training and placement programs.

Chef and co-owner Sean Arakaki’s menu at Itsumono spans Japan, Hawaii, the Pike-Pine corridor, American Chinese fare, the American South, the Chinatown International District and Italy, mashing up with street food, cultures fearlessly crossed.

Arakaki’s life and work have led him to this moment: growing up in Hilo, Hawaii, his decade of cooking experience involved time in the Midwest until he moved to Seattle in 2016 after graduating culinary school.

He started at The Rainier Club in the Seattle food scene and then went on to Canlis and Eden Hill before taking over Itsumono in 2019. His acclaimed restaurant has been highlighted in the New York Times, Seattle Times, Seattle Met and more!
