Guest Chef Night with Chef Janet Becerra of Pancita
Please join us as we welcome Chef Janet Becerra of Pancita for a special evening as we celebrate our students, build community and enjoy an incredible meal. Guest Chef Night pairs premier local chefs with FareStart students to create a three-course meal served by volunteers. All revenue and donations from Guest Chef Night support FareStart’s job training programs.
Chef and co-owner of Pancita, Janet Becerra, started the concept as a pop-up in 2020 as a way to reconnect with her Mexican heritage. Ever since, she’s been wowing the Seattle community with her first generational take on Seattle-Mexican cuisine. She was a finalist in the 2024 James Beard Award Emerging Chef category and is a semifinalist in 2025 for the Best Chef in the Northwest.

Tuxpeno Amarillo maiz, cochinita, pipian rojo, squash, cocoa nib pepita crunch (GF)
Third Course: Arroz Con Leche
Mexican rice porridge, guava, rhubarb jam, maiz pine nut shortbread (VEG)
