Chef Thomas Horner began his career at the New Orleans Marriott and has climbed the culinary ladder at stops in Florida, Colorado, California and Seattle. During his 25-year career, he has received many accolades including the Golden Scepter Award from the Southern California Restaurant Writers Association, guest chef invites at the James Beard Foundation in New York, featured Chef in Visit Seattle’s E Cookbook, Telly Award winner for online culinary demonstration videos and multiple culinary events from coast to coast. 

As Complex Executive Chef of the W and Westin Bellevue, he brings an interest in cultivating sustainable, local fare as both a farmer and a chef. In his spare time with his wife and three children, Thomas is working on his Permaculture Design Certification and is developing Misty Clover Farm, a 54-acre “Food Forest” in the foothills above Discovery Bay on the Olympic Peninsula.
