A native of Switzerland, Chef Kaspar began his formal training as a chef apprentice at the Hilton Hotel in Zurich. He then held positions at other five star hotels in Switzerland including The Suvretta House and The Beau Rivage. In 1976, he moved to Vancouver, Canada for chef positions at the Hotel Vancouver and The Four Seasons Hotel, where he was promoted to Executive Chef. He later opened Kaspar's Restaurant and his creative cuisine has won numerous awards including a four-time nominee for the James Beard Award as America's Best Chef Northwest. He has been featured in national magazines, television and on radio throughout his career.

Kaspars Special Events and Catering is run by Chef Kaspar and his wife Nancy. It is a familiar presence at many prestigious events in Seattle including Microsoft Summits, Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation events and more. Kaspars has dazzled the palates of thousands of distinguished guests.
