FareStart Restaurant gets a refresh in April

March 22, 2019

The FareStart Restaurant will temporarily close beginning Tuesday, April 2 while we make some changes to the interior and layout. Guest Chef Night will move to Maslow’s. Look for our re-opening in late April or early May.

Just over 12 years ago, FareStart opened its newly renovated flagship location and the FareStart Restaurant, and it quickly became a welcoming hub for downtown workers and guests who like to dine and support FareStart’s mission as well as an important training space and community center for culinary students, grads and staff. It’s now time to freshen up our look and menu to ensure that we can continue to provide training opportunities to thousands more people in the years to come and evolve with the rapidly changing restaurant scene. FareStart thanks Turner Construction and NBBJ for their generous pro bono services and support of this project.

FareStart’s weekly Guest Chef Night will move to Maslow’s, our full-service restaurant located in South Lake Union, during the month of April (April 4, 11, 19 & 25) so our Adult Culinary students have the opportunity to train alongside some of Seattle's best chefs.

Our mission is fueled by the community and revenue from our various eateries. Please continue to support FareStart and our job training programs by visiting one of our other near-by locations including Maslow’s and our cafe, Rise. We look forward to inviting you back in early May to reveal our new space and refreshed menu!
