About Guest Chef Night

Guest Chef Night at Home
FareStart's popular Guest Chef Night is going virtual!

Join us for one of our free community events hosted by Chef Wayne Johnson and featuring local, award-winning chefs.

For our students, working alongside well-known and well-respected Guest Chefs to prepare a three-course meal is often the highlight of their experience here at FareStart.

Since 1992, Guest Chef Night has raised more than $6.1 million to support job training, placement and support for adults turning their lives around.

Called "Seattle's best food lover's event," Guest Chef Night is one of the city's best values -- for our diners and our students.

Guest Chef Night has been a weekly highlight for the FareStart community since its initial launch in 1992. Our Thursday Guest Chef Night is a unique opportunity for our students to work with premier chefs from the Seattle area, for our supporters to enjoy an excellent meal, and an opportunity to share the transformative work of FareStart to the greater Seattle community.

Cooking for a cause

Hundreds of chefs from our area's finest restaurants have volunteered their time and resources to offer our students a tremendous training opportunity. For FareStart supporters, it's a great opportunity to enjoy an excellent meal, introduce new supporters to the organization, or volunteer as a server.

"FareStart gives chefs the opportunity to have an outsized influence on the community around us. I always walk away from Guest Chef Night with a full heart." - Brendan McGill, Hitchcock Restaurant
