The recipes we love reflect our personal histories—our childhoods, families, friends, hometowns, and the sources we turn to for comfort and support. Sharing a recipe is more than passing along information; it’s passing along a story, an experience.
The FareStart Community Cookbook is a way for all of us to share the recipes that bring us together and are a part of the FareStart story. The following recipes were contributed by FareStart and the many wonderful chefs who participate in our weekly Guest Chef Night dinners. Each contributed their favorite recipe along with the story and inspiration behind it. Perhaps it’s a Grilled Salmon recipe that recalls time spent with a cherished family member, or a simple Tomato Soup recipe representing newly discovered culinary horizons. The simple act of sharing recipes demonstrates how food can bring a community together and inspire new beginnings.
These recipes and accompanying stories can be shared via Pinterest, Facebook, and Twitter—and as downloadable and printable recipe cards (PDFs). Recipes will be posted on a weekly or monthly basis, so please check back regularly for updates.
We hope you'll enjoy sharing FareStart and these recipes with your friends and family, and thanks for helping the FareStart community grow.
